Power Washing Precision. Exceptional Results.
Focused removal of the black gloeocapsa streaks that run down composition roofs throughout the region.
The dark vertical streaks marring so many Northwest roofs are gloeocapsa magma, a hardy algae that clings to shingle surfaces. It spreads fastest on the shaded, moisture-retaining slopes common in our tree-lined neighborhoods. We apply a soft wash solution formulated to break the algae's bond with the shingles and rinse it away without granule damage. The streaks disappear and the roof regains the clean, consistent look it had when it was new.
Erases distracting black streaks that lower curb appeal; Preserves shingle integrity by avoiding harsh pressure; Extends the visual life of the roof between replacements; Reduces the algae reservoir that spreads to neighboring surfaces
1) Confirm the staining is gloeocapsa algae and map affected areas; 2) Wet down and shield surrounding plants and fixtures; 3) Apply the streak-dissolving treatment to stained slopes; 4) Rinse lightly and verify complete streak removal
Severity and coverage of the black streaking; Total roof area and plane count; Roof pitch and technician access; Level of shade encouraging algae; Condition and age of the shingles
Warm, dry summer days give streak treatments the best chance to work thoroughly in one visit.
