What This Service Involves

Brick and its mortar joints readily absorb our frequent rain, which fuels efflorescence, spalling, and moss along shaded walls. We clean the masonry, allow it to dry, and apply a breathable penetrating sealer that beads water off the face without trapping vapor inside the wall. That balance is critical in the Northwest, where a non-breathable coating would lock moisture in and cause more harm than good. Sealed brick stays drier, resists the white salt bloom, and holds its color against the constant damp.

Our Process

1) Clean the brick and remove efflorescence, moss, and grime; 2) Allow the masonry to dry to the required moisture level; 3) Apply a breathable penetrating sealer to brick and joints; 4) Confirm even beading and coverage during curing

Best Time of Year

Seal brick during dry summer conditions so the masonry is not saturated and the sealer can cure fully.
