What This Service Involves

Paver patios and walkways across the Sound rely on jointing sand that our heavy rain steadily washes away, leaving gaps where weeds and moss take hold. After a thorough cleaning we re-sand the joints and apply a sealer that binds the sand and coats each paver against staining. The result is a firmer surface with far less shifting, plus a subtle color enhancement that revives faded stone. Sealing also makes spills and organic debris sit on top rather than soaking in, so cleanup after a wet season is much simpler.

Our Process

1) Pressure clean the pavers and clear old sand and growth from the joints; 2) Sweep in fresh polymeric or jointing sand to the correct depth; 3) Apply a joint-stabilizing sealer that penetrates both stone and sand; 4) Wipe back excess and allow full cure before foot traffic

Best Time of Year

Seal pavers in mid to late summer once the joints have dried out from spring rains and no showers are forecast for several days.
