What This Service Involves

Staining does more than color a deck; it adds pigment that shields the wood from ultraviolet fade while sealing against our region's heavy rainfall. We start by stripping or cleaning the existing finish and brightening the grain so the new stain bonds evenly. Then we apply a semi-transparent or solid stain chosen to suit the wood species and the look you want. A well-stained deck resists the green mildew and gray weathering that bare boards develop, and it holds up markedly better through repeated wet seasons.

Our Process

1) Strip old coatings or clean and dull the existing finish; 2) Brighten the wood and allow it to dry to the moisture target; 3) Apply the selected semi-transparent or solid stain in controlled coats; 4) Back-brush, inspect coverage, and cure before foot traffic
