Traction-enhancing anti-slip coatings and additives applied to walkways, steps, and pool surrounds to reduce slips on wet Northwest surfaces.
Constant moisture makes smooth concrete, stone, and painted surfaces genuinely dangerous underfoot for much of the year here. We clean the surface and apply either a grit additive within the sealer or a dedicated anti-slip coating to build reliable traction. This is especially valuable on shaded steps, entryways, and pool decks where algae film and rain combine to create slick spots. The finish stays comfortable to walk on while cutting the slip risk that our wet climate creates.
Adds dependable traction on wet, high-risk surfaces; Reduces slip hazards on steps, ramps, and entries; Works on concrete, stone, wood, and painted areas; Pairs protection with safety in one application; Helps limit algae-driven slickness in shaded zones
1) Clean the surface and remove algae, film, and contaminants; 2) Mask surrounding areas and let the substrate dry; 3) Apply anti-slip grit within sealer or a dedicated traction coating; 4) Cure and verify the finished traction before use
Square footage and layout of the treated surface; Type of anti-slip product or grit specified; Surface material and required number of coats; Degree of cleaning and prep needed beforehand; Complexity of steps, edges, and masking involved
Apply anti-slip coatings in dry summer conditions so they cure properly before the slick, rainy season begins.
